2:00pm: Imprecise Words
Curators Saint Piñero and Sage Ó Tuama of Film Diary NYC will present Imprecise Words, a selection of 9 new experimental films by artists working in personal, autobiographical modes to push the boundaries of diary filmmaking. Originally programmed for Studio DB in Berlin, but removed due to the Strike Germany boycott, Film Diary NYC is honored to present this program for the first time at the Portland Diary Summit.

4:00pm: Heartfelt: Personal Cinema from Gaza to the Pacific Northwest
Heartfelt features autobiographical and experimental films by Pacific Northwest artists and filmmakers along with the film, Home Movies Gaza by Basma Alsharif (2013). The screening includes recent work by Zoë Gamell Brown, Melina Kiyomi Coumas, Chloë D'Hooge, Carl Diehl, Lily King, Jordan Shelby, and Jalen Thompson. Several filmmakers will be in attendance and program curator Julie Perini will facilitate a discussion among the artists.
